We finally started some work on the old/new office. We're pouring a slab about 10 ft X 90 ft along the east edge of the building. Since there are cisterns located underneath, we had to figure out a way to deal with the 10 manhole covers that would be covered by the concrete. The relatively thin slab would likely crack when it crossed the manholes, so we opted to make the manholes areas a design element. We'll pour them in a second stage, and actually pigment the color a different shade than the main slab. It should look pretty cool.
