The number of technical hurdles required to actually implement a working version of a camera on a kite are significant. There are cheaper, easier methods than this one, but they don't allow for literal remote control of what the camera is looking at. Plus the risk factor of putting a pricey digital camera ON A KITE means you're really testing the reliability of your work. In the end though, it's photo quality that counts, and Dave manages to get some stellar shots. Even with those trucker sunglasses. Here's a link to what the kite could see.
