Kitchen detail
The main cabinetry in this design is integrated into a thick partition that separates the mudroom area from the rest of the sanctuary. The island needs work - we want 4 burners along with about a 24" square griddle/flat-top grille area for stir fry.

Also, we're unsure about ventilation requirements for an island like this, as we don't want to punch holes in the ceiling if it can be avoided.

So... I see the plan for the stir fry - but no place for the fresh veggies... or the colored sticks to put in the stir fry... what gives??

This is pretty good. Google Sketch-up? I've been playing around but have gotten to the point where watching some tutorials may help. Is the first floor actually a basement currently? I like the planning you have done. The open steps are great! I also love the arched walkway and how the rooms are placed. It really keeps the openess even though you have sectioned it off somewhat.
We were hoping to knock out the wall in the sanctuary that currently resides over the library. We discovered that there is enough room for a huge bedroom when we went into the attic to get to the bell tower, of course, this is where the 500+ bats live. We were thinking about lofting some areas out, but I don't want to impede on the windows. I guess I need classes in stained glass window repair.
