The new downtube
The fan company supplied a 3 foot long tube, but due to the goofy inexactness between the old trusses I had to hang the motor much lower - which meant the tube was way too long. Thanks to the chop saw and a neighbor's 3/4" drill bit I was able to rebuild a shorter version. Sally sanded off the beat up silver paint and we went with flat black.
