o way back in June Sally and I entered into our 5th year of marriage, and I lost a lot of bets. On the upside however, we became so disgusted with our living conditions that we've decided to move out. Like rats from a sinking ship, we're packing up and taking flight. Granted, it's only temporary - We need to tear out the remaining livable areas of the church and re-build them according to our shiny new plans. We're putting all non-essential items in the basement, clearing out everything, and making ready for the last big round of deconstruction in the church before we start building for real.
We'll be really slumming it for the next couple months too, as we're moving into the residential side of my office building, which is ridiculously nice. Ironically, it was also 5 years ago that I moved out of the third floor apartment immediately above my second floor office in Bloomington. It just keeps sucking me back. Give me another 5 years maybe I'll be moving back in with my parents (Sally just heard a chorus of angels).
So here's our thirteen point plan to world domination:
  • Pack up the church
  • Move into the power-plant
  • Swing some sledgehammers
  • Pay some contractors
  • Move back in
  • Solve the two-state problem in Israel
Clearly we've got this all figured out, so you can expect to be having dinner at our place real soon. Hah. I told my brother we'll be at the power plant no more than 6 months. I hope to cut that down significantly. It's not an entirely comfortable co-habitation with me, my wife, and four bloody cats taking over the upper living area next to the office. It will be a bit of balancing act. The cats will be quarantined to the upstairs, and we got them all shaved to reduce at least one of their forms of... output.
So if you know anyone who's a whiz at structural framing, or happens to live for plumbing (and doesn't point and laugh if I want to use PEX), drop me a note. It seems we might be building a house soon.

Hey, how quality is that electric oven/stove? The one at church is pretty terrible and we could use a new one. What's the price for it?
