oday was election day in our tiny village, and my spot for Board Trustee was up for grabs. I decided to run again for another four year term. The first 2 years I did it were pretty miserable, because I didn't know what was going on. Truth be told I still feel similarly, but in the last year or two I've found a bit more of a footing at the meetings, and it feels like we're actually able to make things happen now. Does running again make me a career politician?
The results aren't in yet, though polls closed about an hour ago. I really didn't think much about the whole deal until late today, well after I voted. I'd like to win, but I'll handle retirement all right if it comes to that.
Gosh, I must be a little interested in the outcome if it's enough to make me write...
